home is where the heart is.

Lately I have been obsessing over interior decor. I have discovered that nothing feels better than making your house a home. I have always liked the way I have decorated my place but have never had that feeling of satisfaction until recently redoing my room. I've always wanted my home to feel like my palace. Where everything has a purpose and a story of how it got there. A place where I can sink into my deepest thoughts and let all my dreams take over reality. It should be cozy, safe and most importantly a reflection of who you are. We all work hard enough so why not put a little fantasy into the one place you can call your own. Here are some pictures that give you a quick glimps into my dream world. A moment in my mind. I hope my inspirational images inspire you to create your Shangri-La.

Coming to a Tea Party near you.

For all you girls that dreamt and fantasized at a young age about Rainbows, Unicorns, and Cotton Candy, you can now dance on the clouds with excitement for this post. My childhood fantasy has now come true to resemble the mane of My Little Pony... As I’m sure you have all noticed there has been a burst of colour in the fashion world. No I’m not talking about prints and patterns here, I'm talking HAIR! We all know this is not anything new on the street, as the punk and rock&roll world have called it their own for ages. But what I find fascinating is how the high fashion crowed has put their own spin on it and created a new trend with shades of pastels and light neons. Givenchy is a great example with their Fall 2010 campaign highlighting this, as well as Vivienne Westwood herself! Not to mention all the power house magazines can’t get enough. I’m just so tickled with this new attitude, everyone is finally having fun with fashion again!

This is me a few months back.

Beautiful.

I stumbled across this old Italian Vogue editorial and had to share. At first I wasn't going to post it, but somthing about it stuck with me that kept me going back. Maybe it's her haunting eyes, or the feeling of her sultry settle rebellion that pulled me in. Whatever the reason, I now love Natalia Vodianova and photograhper Paolo Roversi. Pure Magic.

She's over bored and self assured.

Hello, hello, hello, how low?

It brings me and bit of pain but more pleasure to zone in one the one trend we Love to trash. With Kurt Cobain as the pioneer of 90’s grunge it’s easier to love than hate the unwashed, baggy and most of the time mismatched style. Unlike most dumb dumb fads every copy cat Frankenstein can easily duplicate, this is one look, I believe can only be mastered by the fashion prodigies of today. Alexander Mcqueen left us with one last glimpse into his masterful mind and built a collection based on grunge. Charlotte Ronson also explored last decade in a bit more settle but equally amazing way. Street style has also jumped in head first, combat boots, big knits, plaid, streaked hair, leather, and denim vests, all this mixed and match together equal awesomeness!
